It’s a good thing that Scotch-Plains Fanwood had Chase Alber at its disposal on Monday.

The Raiders needed all of Alber’s production. The Leading Edge 2022 midfielder and SPF junior went off for five goals to help the Raiders upend Verona, 13-7.

“(Verona’s goalie) made a lot of good saves on us in the first, but we just didn’t let it get us too frustrated,” Alber told Mike Kinney of NJ.com. “We just kept playing our game and got our looks.

“We started putting the ball low. First half we were shooting a lot of high balls, and he’s good high,” he said. “Second half we switched up, starting shooting low and started sinking our shots.”

’22 Mikey Kloepfer (Merrimack) tallied once in the win.

Hunterdon Central 5, Bridgewater-Raritan 4

’23 Sean Creter was a perfect 12-for-12 at the faceoff X and he also added an assist in the win.

Montclair 12, Montclair Kimberley 5

’22 LSM Konrad Miklaszewski (Yale) bagged his third goal of the season to lead Montclair to a rout.

Phillipsburg 12, Delaware Valley 7

’23 Jack Bill tallied twice and ’23 Nick Catino stopped 15 shots for Del Val.
