Delbarton fired the first salvo of the season in its rivalry with Seton Hall Prep.
Backed by nine saves from Leading Edge 2025 goalie Tanner Shimko (Johns Hopkins) and a goal from the midfield line by ’25 LSM Will Pedicano (Duke), the Green Wave knocked off the Pirates, 8-5, Saturday.
“All week in practice, I was working on those inside shots. I know they like to do a lot of down-the-wing sweeps and they like to set some picks inside. We were just constantly repping that out,” Shimko told Mike Kinney of NJ.com.
