Shawn Lyght

Shawn Lyght, a proud Leading Edge alumni, has established himself as one of the premier lacrosse players of his generation. A two-time USA Lacrosse All-American (2022, 2023), he was named both New Jersey Player of the Year in 2023. During his high school career, he earned all-state, all-county, and all-conference honors twice while leading his team to back-to-back county championships. A multi-sport athlete, Lyght also starred on the basketball court, earning County Finals MVP.

At the collegiate level, Lyght has continued to excel at Notre Dame. He was instrumental in the team’s 2024 NCAA Championship run, earning a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament Team. His stellar play has been recognized nationally, including the 2025 Schmeisser Award as Co-National Defender of the Year, USILA First-Team All-American honors (2025), and ACC Co-Defensive Player of the Year (2025). In addition, he was selected as a co-captain for the 2025 U.S. Men’s U20 National Team, underscoring his leadership on the world stage.
