Mike Filippone

Mike Filippone is a highly accomplished midfielder and faceoff specialist from Northport High School (NY), where he helped lead his team to a Class A State Championship as a junior and a State Finals appearance as a senior. He continued his success at Drexel University, earning team MVP honors as a sophomore while ranking 9th nationally in faceoffs and 11th in ground balls. A two-time team captain, Filippone also competed in the prestigious North-South Senior All-Star Game and was named to Drexel’s All-Decade Team for the 2000s. He went on to be selected in the 2007 Major League Lacrosse Draft by the Philadelphia Barrage.
