Ben McKelvy

Ben, a standout defender, has been a reliable presence on Rutgers’ back line since arriving on campus. A starter in every game during the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Ben has anchored the Scarlet Knights’ defense with his physical play, leadership, and ability to create turnovers. Over those two years, he collected more than 35 ground balls, caused 16 turnovers, and chipped in offensively with key assists.

Before Rutgers, Ben was a three-year varsity starter and captain in high school, earning All-State honors, selection to the Under Armour All-American DC Team, and serving as Team USA U-17 captain. He also excelled as a multi-sport athlete in football and basketball, and was recognized with the U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award. Beyond athletics, Ben graduated with Highest Honors and served as Student Government Vice President and National Honor Society member.
