Owen McElroy

Owen McElroy is one of the most decorated goalies in college lacrosse history and a proud Leading Edge alumnus. A two-time Division I Goalie of the Year and three-time All-American, McElroy starred at Georgetown, where he anchored one of the nation’s top defenses. Known for his poise, leadership, and ability to perform in the biggest moments, he was named the BIG EAST Goalie of the Year twice, the BIG EAST Tournament Most Outstanding Player, and appeared on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List multiple times.

Across his career, McElroy led the NCAA in goals-against average and save percentage, recorded numerous double-digit save performances, and helped Georgetown capture multiple BIG EAST titles. Before Georgetown, he played at Ridgewood and Avon Old Farms, where he was a US Lacrosse All-American and Western New England Goalie of the Year. His impact between the pipes and his ability to elevate the play of those around him have made him a role model for the next generation of goalies.
