Chris Hoffmann attended Cazenovia High School in Central New York where he excelled in Football, Basketball, and Lacrosse. After receiving All-State honors in Football, All League Honors in Basketball, and All CNY honors in Lacrosse, Hoffmann accepted a Division I scholarship to play Lacrosse at Rutgers University. During his time on the Banks, he was a key member of a Top 10 nationally ranked defense, captain his senior year, and earned a BS in Sport Management. Hoffmann was also the recipient of the 2008 Frederick Fitch Lacrosse Trophy for the greatest improvement during the season.
Additionally,Hoffmann was the Head Coach for Pope John XXIII HS in Sparta, NJ for 11 years where he compiled an overall record of 100-83. With over a decade of leadership, the program captured 3 League Championships in 2017, 2021, and 2023. The Lions were 2x HWS County Finalists and 2x HWS County Champions in 2021 and 2023. Coach Hoffmann was awarded NJ Herald Coach of the Year in 2019 and 2021. Coach Hoffmann has been coaching at the club level for 14 years and is entering his 3rd year with Leading Edge.
Currently, Hoffmann is entering his 14th year of teaching at Pope John where he teaches US History II, Global Issues, and International Crimes.
